Taylor Sheesh grants an interview to the American morning show Good Morning America ahead of the Eras Tour film. The short stint praised how Taylor Sheesh easily captured the hearts of Filipino fans while portraying one of the biggest pop stars in the world.
Also known as Mac Coronel, Taylor Sheesh rose to fame after going viral on TikTok performing as Taylor Swift in drag. However, she started as a drag queen in Nectar Nightclub in the Philippines in 2017 after winning a drag contest.
Taylor Sheesh in Good Morning America
It is not the first time Taylor Sheesh gained recognition abroad for her stint as Taylor Swift. However, being featured in Good Morning America is one for the books—further cementing her status in the Philippine drag community and industry.
In the interview, the morning show mentioned how Taylor Sheesh filled the gaps of Taylor Swift not having a concert in the Philippines. Although she is not Taylor Swift, Taylor Sheesh can still make the “whole place shimmer.”
Seeing Double
Despite being a professional drag performer and artist in the Philippines, Taylor Sheesh still manages to retain a day job at a call center in Manila. Imagine the effort and dedication it must take to do two things at once.
But with the support of the Filipino Swifties, Taylor Sheesh continues to do what she loves on stage. As of writing, the drag performer has countless bookings ahead of time, making her schedule a bit difficult to catch up to.
