Suspended: ‘It’s Showtime’ Will Air Despite MTRCB Verdict

Cory Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast of ABS-CBN, confirms that It’s Showtime will continue to air even if the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) suspended the show for 12 airing days.

Alvin Elchico read the message from Vidanes, stating that continuing to air is not in any way disobeying the decision. However, since ABS-CBN has yet to file a motion for reconsideration, the decision is not final. Hence, the noontime show can still air.

‘It’s Showtime’ Suspended

The MTRCB stated that the respondents may file a Motion for Reconsideration within 15 days after receiving the decision. Therefore, ABS-CBN has enough time to prove the decision otherwise while still maintaining It’s Showtime on air without any problems.

Despite the suspension, It’s Showtime will continue to deliver regular programming to its audience. Meanwhile, ABS-CBN also aims to continue bringing joy and entertainment to their noontime viewers.

The network also reiterates that they are truly grateful to the Madlang People for their unwavering love and support for It’s Showtime. Catch It’s Showtime on GTV, A2Z, and on YouTube from 12 noon onwards.
